Jeweler Leopold

1986

In 1986, our family business Jeweler Leopold began operations on Rheinstraße in Berlin. At that time, Leopold Gawartin took over his father’s already renowned business and gradually discovered his own passion for the wonderful world of watches.

It was time for a change, and Leopold opened his new store in 1998 near Kurfürstendamm, where he quickly made a name for himself in the industry through his unique selection of luxury watches & jewelry, expert service, and open-hearted character.

From 2000 onward, we expanded our operations to include a pawnshop. Our customers were now able to obtain short-term loans for their luxury watches without having to part with them permanently. To meet growing demands, the team expanded in the following years to include Leopold’s son Marc and Joe, a long-time family friend. Today, the three of them run the business together as partners.

After a two-year construction phase, we have created a space for our customers and ourselves that meets the highest security standards while offering a warm, refined atmosphere:

Every detail was thoughtfully designed by the talented team at architecture studio TINNAPPELMETZ with attention to style, function, and our customers’ well-being. Since opening in 2020, we have focused on expanding our pawnshop operations, specializing in loans for high-end luxury watches. Of course, we have remained a destination for watch enthusiasts and jewelry lovers alike, offering you a wide range of professional services.
