Datejust Medium
Case and dial
The Rolex Datejust reference 6827 is a classic and versatile timepiece, crafted from stainless steel and finished with a fluted white gold bezel. The case has a diameter of 31 mm, making this watch an ideal choice for those who prefer a slightly smaller, classic wristwatch. The fluted 18k white gold bezel gives the watch a luxurious and timeless aesthetic. The dial is white with Roman numerals. A date window at 3 o’clock, equipped with the characteristic Cyclops lens, ensures clear and easy readability of the date.
Movement
Inside the Rolex Datejust 6827 beats the Rolex caliber 2135, a precise and reliable automatic manufacture movement. This movement offers a power reserve of approximately 42 hours and is renowned for its durability and high precision. The caliber 2135 is COSC-certified (Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres), confirming its excellent accuracy. It features a paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring, which is shock-resistant and insensitive to magnetic fields.
Bracelet and clasp
The watch is often supplied with an elegant stainless steel Jubilee bracelet, known for its high wearing comfort and supple fit. The five-piece link bracelet is equipped with a concealed Crownclasp, ensuring a seamless and secure closure. This design is both functional and aesthetically pleasing, lending the watch a touch of sophistication.
History
The Rolex Datejust was first introduced in 1945 and was the first wristwatch with an automatically changing date display. Since then, the Datejust has evolved into a symbol of classic elegance and reliability. The reference 68274 is a variation of this iconic model, combining traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design.
Timeless design, impeccable quality in every respect, and an annual increase in value make Rolex watches daily companions and wearable investments.
As the first hermetically sealed watch in history, the Rolex, with its often-copied Oyster case, began its triumphant march across the world, and legendary models such as the Submariner, GMT-Master, Explorer, and the classic Datejust have remained visually almost unchanged since their appearance.
Only in recent years has Rolex begun to minimally adapt to current trends in watch design and, with its sports models, exceeded the 40 mm case diameter limit.
In addition to its reputation as a status symbol and sports watch for extreme situations, the Rolex watch also holds a unique place in the hearts of watch collectors as a collector’s item.
