The Rolex Sea-Dweller Reference 16600 features a 40 mm Oyster case made of 904L stainless steel, known for its extreme robustness and corrosion resistance. The unidirectional rotating black aluminum bezel allows for precise measurement of dive times and is equipped with a 60-minute scale. A helium escape valve ensures safe use during professional saturation dives.
Dial and Functions
The black dial is clearly structured and offers excellent legibility underwater. Applied luminous hour markers and hands ensure optimal visibility even in poor lighting conditions. The date at 3 o’clock is not magnified by a Cyclops lens, in typical Sea-Dweller style.
Bracelet and Clasp
The stainless steel Oyster bracelet is solid and robust, ideal for professional use under extreme conditions. The Oysterlock safety folding clasp ensures a secure fit on the wrist and is equipped with the Glidelock extension system, allowing the bracelet to be worn over a wetsuit.
Movement
The Sea-Dweller 16600 is powered by the automatic Calibre 3135, a proven Rolex classic. This movement offers high precision, reliability, and a power reserve of approximately 48 hours. The Parachrom hairspring increases resistance to shocks and temperature fluctuations.
