Datejust 31mm
Case and Material
The Rolex Date 78274 features a 31mm Oyster case in stainless steel. The fluted bezel is crafted from 18-karat white gold. The case is fitted with sapphire crystal and follows the classic Oyster construction with screw-down crown.
Dial and Special Features
Fitted with a mother-of-pearl dial. The natural structure of the material ensures an individual appearance for each dial. Roman hour markers and hands are applied, the date display is positioned at 3 o’clock and is magnified by the Cyclops lens in the sapphire crystal.
Bracelet and Clasp
The watch is equipped with a five-row Jubilee bracelet in stainless steel. The folding clasp ensures secure hold and comfortable wearing experience.
Movement
Inside beats an automatic Rolex manufacture caliber from the Date series with reliable rate stability and solid everyday performance.
Condition and Accessories
The watch is in lightly worn condition, has been carefully inspected by our watchmakers and is sold with 1 year technical warranty. With box and papers from 2002.
Special Features & Historical Context
Reference 78274 belongs to the Date 31mm range and is positioned between classic ladies’ and unisex models. The combination of white gold bezel and mother-of-pearl dial is among the higher-grade configurations of this series and is comparatively rarer within the Date models.
Timeless design, impeccable quality in every respect, and an annual increase in value make Rolex watches daily companions and wearable investments.
As the first hermetically sealed watch in history, the Rolex, with its often-copied Oyster case, began its triumphant march across the world, and legendary models such as the Submariner, GMT-Master, Explorer, and the classic Datejust have remained visually almost unchanged since their appearance.
Only in recent years has Rolex begun to minimally adapt to current trends in watch design and, with its sports models, exceeded the 40 mm case diameter limit.
In addition to its reputation as a status symbol and sports watch for extreme situations, the Rolex watch also holds a unique place in the hearts of watch collectors as a collector’s item.
