Daytona Yellow Gold
Case and Material
The Rolex Daytona Reference 116528 features a 40 mm case made of 18k yellow gold. The screw-down crown and chronograph pushers are also crafted from yellow gold. The bezel is made of 18k yellow gold and features an engraved tachymeter scale.
Dial and Special Features
The watch features a black dial with three subdials for the chronograph functions. The applied hour markers and hands are equipped with luminescent material. The black dial creates a clear contrast to the case and emphasizes the sporty design of the Daytona.
Bracelet and Clasp
The watch is fitted with the Rolex Oyster bracelet made of 18k yellow gold. The three-piece link bracelet features an Oysterlock safety clasp.
Movement
Inside, the automatic Rolex Manufacture Caliber 4130 operates. The chronograph movement features a central seconds hand and totalizers for measuring elapsed times. The power reserve is approximately 72 hours.
Condition and Accessories
The watch is in lightly worn condition, has been carefully inspected by our watchmakers, and is sold with a 1-year technical warranty. The scope of delivery includes the box and papers from 2014.
Special Features & Historical Context
Reference 116528 belongs to the Daytona model series from Rolex and combines the 40 mm case with an Oyster bracelet crafted entirely from 18k yellow gold. The version with a black dial, yellow gold bezel, and engraved tachymeter scale combines the chronograph function of the Daytona with a classic precious metal configuration.
Timeless design, impeccable quality in every respect, and an annual increase in value make Rolex watches daily companions and wearable investments.
As the first hermetically sealed watch in history, the Rolex, with its often-copied Oyster case, began its triumphant march across the world, and legendary models such as the Submariner, GMT-Master, Explorer, and the classic Datejust have remained visually almost unchanged since their appearance.
Only in recent years has Rolex begun to minimally adapt to current trends in watch design and, with its sports models, exceeded the 40 mm case diameter limit.
In addition to its reputation as a status symbol and sports watch for extreme situations, the Rolex watch also holds a unique place in the hearts of watch collectors as a collector’s item.
